Aceh Gayo Long Berry Green Coffee Beans are a premium physical selection of one of Indonesia’s most recognized specialty coffee origins. Sourced from the Gayo Highlands of Aceh at elevations between 1200 and 1700 meters above sea level, this coffee develops a rich and balanced cup profile shaped by volcanic soil and a cool mountain climate.

What distinguishes the Long Berry variant is its larger, elongated bean shape, typically graded at screen size 17–19. This selection offers improved bean uniformity and roasting consistency, making it particularly preferred by roasters seeking better heat distribution and more controlled roasting results.

In terms of cup profile, Aceh Gayo Long Berry maintains the classic Sumatra coffee character, known for chocolate sweetness, nutty aroma, and a full body. In the cup, it commonly presents notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar, and mild spice, supported by medium acidity and a medium-to-full body, making it suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.

A distinctive characteristic of many Indonesian coffees is the wet-hulled processing method, locally known as Giling Basah. In this process, coffee beans are hulled while still containing around 30–35% moisture, before being fully dried to about 11–13% moisture content. This contributes to the heavier body and deeper flavor profile commonly associated with Sumatra coffees.

While the cup profile remains consistent with standard Gayo coffee, the Long Berry selection is valued for its visual quality, larger bean size, and improved roasting performance, making it a preferred option for buyers seeking both quality and consistency in production.
